Animations

I took an Introduction to 2D Animation class this past quarter and I've learned a ton about animation and about the form, shape, and flexibility of an object. There's so much insight and studying that has gone into the art of 2D animation and the people who've mastered this style of art, Disney for examples, are truly worthy of the title of masters of animation for this is one of the most complex forms of drawing I've ever done. Here is an examples of my animations. It's by far the hardest animation project I've endured. Enjoy.

Pilot Sculpture Concept Art

Building ideas from a reference for a futuristic pilot. I needed to make his suit look light and comfortable, but designed for outer space purposes. The difficulty lied with differentiating him from a space marine which is popular in a lot of futuristic first person shooters and real time strategies.

Prison Environment

Sketches for an environment for my Scriptwriting class. The environment for my script is based inside a prison. Practice with perspective.

Sketches I did in my Advanced Drawing for the Animator class. The models were just great... great lighting and great poses for proportional and foreshortening studies. I intend to fill my sketchbook with more foreshortening. Second sketch done with Micron Pen. Others with graphite pencil.

More gestures. I toyed with a bit of foreshortening with the bottom one. I should practice more of that.

Some gestures I've produced in April. My aim was to display the line of action in the full figured gestures. Done with Micron Pen.
